"As for God, His way is perfect; The word of the Lord is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him." - Psalm 18:30

Have You Ever Heard. . .?

Have You Ever Heard someone say, "Ask Jesus to come into your heart and He will save you"? Jesus said. "He who believes [the gospel] and is baptized will be saved" (Mark 16:15-16).

Have You Ever Heard someone say, "If you are saved, you cannot do anything to be lost"? The writer of Hebrews wrote: "Beware brethren [Christians], lest there be in any one of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God" (Hebrews 3:12). Notice the inspired words of James: "Brethren[Christians], if anyone among you [brethren] wanders from the truth, and someone turns him back, let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death [a state of being lost] and cover a multitude of sins. (James 5:19-20)

Have you ever heard someone say, "It does not matter which church you attend, just as long as you attend somewhere"? Jesus said, "I will build My church" (Matt. 16:18). He only has one church ("one body", Eph. 4:4), and He bought the church with His own blood (Acts 20:28). Notice that Paul wrote of the Christians in Ephesus that they were "fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God." (Eph.2:19 ) Paul wrote of "the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth." (I Tim. 3:15). Therefore, all Christians are members of the house (family) of God, the body of Christ, the church. The church of Christ wears
His name (Romans 16:16).

Have you ever heard someone say that God spoke to them in a manner other than through the Bible? James wrote of looking into "the perfect law of liberty" (James 1:25). That word perfect means complete, and the law of liberty is the New Testament. Paul said the Scriptures are able to make the man of God perfect or complete (2 Tim. 3:16). Men are not receiving revelations from God today outside the Bible.

The apostle Paul wrote: "But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived."(2 Timothy 3:13). Have you heard the words of men or the words of God? Check the Bible and you will know.
