This site shares spiritual information through biblically based articles, sermon outlines and web links based upon the God's living Word, the Bible. (Cf. Heb. 4:12)

The site name comes from Psalm 18:30: "As for God, His way is perfect; The word of the Lord is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him." There are three essential factors in this text that demonstrate how we may have a proper relationship with our Creator:

1) We need God, and the God of the Bible is that perfect Being. His way (everything about Him) is perfect, and this establishes His ability to provide perfect things for all our needs, both physically and spiritually. (See James 1:17.)

2) We also need a tried and tested guide from our Creator in order to justly live before Him. Seeing God's way as perfect, we may learn of His "perfect way" and will through written revealed information. The Bible meets that need perfectly. God's Word has been "tried" or "tested" or "proven" (Psalm 12:6) by man since the dawn of time, and all efforts to destroy it have utterly failed. The Bible is the complete and final revelation of God for all of man's needs (Cf. 2 Tim. 3:15-16; 2 Peter 1:3; Jude 3). It must be approached humbly, studied thoroughly, meditated on daily and lived by without compromise in order to achieve the maximum benefits offered by its sacred teaching and promises. (See Psalm 119:105.)

3) God is "a shield", a protector, for all those who fully trust in Him. "For the LORD God is a sun and shield; The LORD will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold From those who walk uprightly." (Psalm 84:11)  Faithful Christians need this assurance, as did David, the author of this psalm, "...on the Day that the LORD Delivered Him from the Hand of All His Enemies and from the Hand of Saul." (Superscription of Psalm 18. Compare 2 Sam. 22:31 for historic background and context.) The protecting sheild of God is fully in place for all who trust in Him. God "makes His sun rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust."  But for the faithful, the Lord promises special care for basic physical needs (Cf. Matt. 6:33), and above all, the spiritual needs, culminating in the salvation of the soul (Cf. Rev. 2:10)

Hence, this site has God, His Way through His Word, and His Special Providence as its foundation.

Another purpose of this site is to keep friends and family and fellow Christians informed about the Leonard family, our work for Christ in Adel, GA, and all our service in the Lord.
